We closed on our new house on Thursday, but weren't able to get into the house until late last night. The seller's technically had 72 hours to move out because there was a lease clause in our contract. The would have been today (Sunday) at 3:00, but our realtor told us that if we drove by and there were no cars in the driveway and the house was empty then we could go in.
We went last night after dinner with the Hubbard's around 10:00 and they were gone. We spent about 45 minutes enjoying the fact that we owned the house now and figuring out where we were going to put stuff and what the painter was going to paint, etc. We plan on bringing some stuff over there today and putting it in the garage until the painters are done and the carpets are cleaned. All of that will be done by Friday and we will move everything from the old house on Saturday.

Awesome news!!! Congratulations. SO glad that you do not have to pay two house playments. Taking less is a better idea as who knows you could have had to make 6 months worth of payments!! Send pictures when you get more settled. Congratulations again!! New houses are sooooo fun!!
