February

Danny's mom came for a visit at the beginning of February. She got in just before the ice storm Thursday night. Danny didn't have school on Friday because of the weather so we just hung out at the apartment.

I had to go out and buy Kennedy a winter coat because the weather was getting to cold for the light jackets that I had for her. I was able to score this jacket at The Children's Place for $9.99!! I was super excited!

Luckily it cleared up by Saturday so that the Regional Swim Meet could happen. Kennedy, Natalie and I spent Saturday at the pool watching his swimmers do really well in the prelims. Most of them qualified for finals on Monday. Unfortunately because of the weather they had to adjust the schedule and Natalie wasn't able to stay for the finals. She was able to spend time with Kennedy (and us) so it didn't really matter in the end.

Just a cute picture

Kennedy got some new things again this month.

Here she is in her SPIO Vest. It is a compression vest that helps her with stability in her trunk.

In the middle of February we all went to the State Swim Meet in Austin. Danny had one diver in the meet (he got 5th) and we were also able to see some former athletes swim as well. It was great to see them and their parents while we were there. One of the moms took some pictures of Kennedy that I will put on her once I get them. Thanks Becky!

And...the biggest thing she got in February was glasses. She is so stinkin' cute in them.

Also a pretty big deal...she fed herself a cookie.

The blue things in the back go under her booster cover (that was in the laundry) to help her sit up. They are just cut up swim noodles.

Kennedy and I also went to visit my grandparents at the end of the month, but I'll post pictures of that in another post.

I LOVE the second picture in her glasses. You need to enter that in a contest :) So beautiful.
Sorry you are having to deal with all of this medical stuff. We think you often adn are so grateful that Kennedy has a mom and dad who are all over getting her the help that she needs :) She is pretty lucky.
