All settled (almost)
We moved August 2nd and everything but the spare bedroom is unpacked. That is this weekends project. My goal was to have everything unpacked by the time Kennedy and I left for our Wisconsin trip. We leave a week from tomorrow, so I should make it.
Danny is officially back to work today. He has been working up there this week getting things clean out and stuff. There was a lot of unneeded stuff in the closets, etc. They put new floors in his office and painted so he hasn't been able to do anything in there yet. He is hoping he can work on that by Monday.
Kennedy and I are adjusting to our new place and trying to get into some sort of routine. We have been going on adventures during the day to check out our new town.
Some nights in the evenings we drive around looking at different areas to see where we may want to buy a house next year. We are in an apartment for now. At the time we weren't sure if we would sell our house in Arlington so we couldn't get into another one and we didn't want to buy somewhere and then realize that it wasn't in an area we want to stay long term. The good news is that we SOLD OUR HOUSE in 3 weeks! We close next week so only had to pay double mortgage/rent for August. We definitly lucked out...it is a huge stress lifted not to have to worry about it selling.
Kennedy is still working on her exercises 3x a day. Sometimes she does well...sometimes not so much. I'm waiting to get plugged into a new physical therapist. Hopefully that will happen soon. Until then she is doing Mommy PT. She is still as happy as ever. This morning she was actually laughing when she woke up. She has the cutest giggles!
Like I said Kennedy and I are going to Wisconsin next Saturday. I'm very excited to get up there. We haven't been this summer at all. With 115 degree heat index down here...definitly looking forward to some cooler temperatures! We will get to meet the newest member of the family, Jillian, and see Aaron race while we are there. I'll have a post about our trip once we get back.
That is about all for now. Here are some recent pictures.

On the Move!
It would be great if this post was about Kennedy being mobile, but we aren't quite there yet. This post is about our family being on the move. It has been a crazy few days to say the least...here is the timeline
Wednesday 6/16 - Call from Deer Park (Houston area) to see if Danny can come in for an interview Thursday
Thursday 6/17 - Drive to Deer Park...interview at 2:00...athletic director and Danny pick Kennedy and I up at hotel to go see the high school and pool...return to hotel at 5:30...drive around to check out the area
Friday 6/18 - Athletic director picks us up and drives us around the area for about 3 hours. Very nice guy!...calls back about 15 minutes after dropping us off and tells us that the superintendant and his wife want to take us out to dinner...drive around the area looking at some apartment complexes (just in case) before they come to pick us up...get a call from another district athletic director offering him a job (tells her he will call her on Monday)...have a 3 hour dinner/tour with superintendant and wife (he offers Danny the job). Again very nice people!
Saturday 6/19 - Get up and look at some other apartment/townhouse complexes and find one we like (again, just in case)...drive back home...try to weigh pros and cons of both jobs
Sunday 6/20 - weigh more pros and cons....not really sure what we are going to do since one job requires us to sell the house and move from friends.
Monday 6/21 - decide that Deer Park is a great opportunity that we would be silly to pass up...call and get the apartment we liked...get to work on stuff around the house...meet with realtor in the afternoon
Tuesday 6/22 - continue working on house
Wednesday 6/23 - more house/yard work
Thursday 6/24 - Danny officially resigns current job...house is on the market! Really hoping for a quick sell since we move August 2nd.
There were lots of sleepless nights and a few tears on my part, but like I said the people in Deer Park were very nice and the swim opportunity for Danny is great. He will have his own 8 lane pool that is located in the middle of the high school and will have an assistant coach. The program is established and very similar to what the program was at his current job (well, former now) when he came here. There is a lot of potential and the support from the athletic director and superintendant has been amazing. While we were at dinner he also brought up a future job for me as well (I'm staying home next year)...they have the same program as I used to teach in the technology area. I would love to get back into that position for the 2011-2012 school year.
So...life is a little crazy between Kennedy's doctor stuff and job relocation, but all is good. Kennedy has gotten good reports from the doctors (more on that below) and we are excited (although a little sad about moving) about the move.
Kennedy Update:
Her official diagnosis is benign congential hypotonia, which basically means she was born with low muscle tone and with physical therapy should be caught up to her peers by about 24 months! She has been doing so well. She actually likes being on her tummy and hold her head up pretty well when she is. Not so much head-butting the floor anymore. She rolls all over the place and sometimes she even moves her legs like she is wanting to crawl. Like I said in the beginning we aren't there yet, but she is making so much progress she will be soon!
The computer is acting funny when I try to add pictures so I'll try again tomorrow. Sorry to all those blog stalkers that only come for the pictures :)

Good news!
Good news!!
Great news!!
Fantastic news!!
Kennedy's peditrician called and everything looked good. The only thing the MRI showed was the fat around her neurons wasn't what it should be for an 8 month old. She said that as she gains more motor skills (which PT will help) the fat will increase. We are also increasing the amount of formula she gets in a day to help with the nutrition side of it. We are very excited!! She is getting better & better everyday with her neck & trunk control and is heathly and happy otherwise!!

Update
Sorry it has been so long. As some of you already know we have had a crazy few weeks. Here is the update (or news for some of you).
In March I took Kennedy into her pediatrician because we felt she wasn't doing very well with holding her head up. We tried not to compare her to other kids her age (and there are quite a few friends with babies within 2 weeks of her) and just figured she was on the later end of the "normal" range on milestones. Her ped referred us to a neurologist and said she had hypotonia (low muscle tone). We met with neuro doc at the beginning of April and he said she was just behind and that she didn't have hypotonia. He did order an abdominal xray and ultrasound to rule out a condition that may cause her head bobbing. All of that came back clear so we were told to just see if it got better and come back mid-May. When we went back he diagnosed her with benign head titubations and order physical therapy and said to come back August 31st. He didn't think an MRI was worth the risk (she would have to be put under so she would stay still). Again wait and see. We were beginning to question this wait and see approach that everyone seemed to be taking. She had her PT evaluation on June 2 and we are now going twice a week. At her first real session we asked the therapist how far behind she thought Kennedy was and she told us that in her 15 years experience she would be really surprised if it was just delay. So....we made an appointment with her ped that afternoon and he called neuro again. We got a call that said he would order the MRI even though he didn't think it was necessary. Although we were glad to have an MRI appointment (July 19th) this wasn't really what we had talked to the ped about...he was supposed to get us in with a different neuro doc for a 2nd opinion. Needless to say we weren't real happy with his so on Wednesday we found a different peditrician and we really like her so far. She was able to move up her MRI to June 16th (yes, this Wednesday! YEH!) and sent us to a pediatric eye doctor to check for strabismus (eyes not always aligning). We went there this morning and got a good report! She actually has pseudostrabismus (the false appearance of strabismus). It is caused by the bridge of the nose and they way the skin is around the eyes that gives the appearance that they eyes aren't alligned when they really are fine. She also had her eye dialated to check the muscles and things and all that was fine too! One test down - 2 PT appointments and one more test to go this week. We hope the rest of the week goes as well as today!
Our new peditrician told us that Kennedy is meeting all of her social milestones and she is eating and sleeping fine. The problem is that her neck and trunk muscles are not strong enough so she isn't hitting her motor skills milestones. She does roll over in both directions and reaches/grabs for things and is getting better with the other things. She does okay sitting with assistance and once in awhile can do it on her own, she plays on her side a lot (who knew that was a milestone) and is starting to do better with using her forearms to hold herself up when she is on her tummy. We are very proud of her for the progress she has made in just the last 2 weeks! Oh and she now has her top two teeth coming in!!!
Now that you have the update here are some pictures.

Recipe - Pannekoekens
Pannekoekens
Melt 3/4 stick of butter in glass 9x13 pan in 375 degree oven
Beat 5 eggs well (hand mixer)
Add 1 1/4 C flour
Add 1 1/4 C Milk
Add 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Mix well and pour into hot melted butter
Bake for 20-22 minutes
Eat right away (although they aren't too bad cold)
Add pie filling of your choice and top with powdered sugar
**Glass pans work best**
**Don't open the oven while cooking or it will 'fall'**
