Spring Break

It was nice to have Daddy home for a week...no school or swim practice. Well, no swimming after the first weekend. Daddy had a big swim meet in Houston and was gone for almost 4 days. It was the TAGS Meet...kind of like the state swim meet for club swimming. His kids did VERY well. Mike won the 50 freestyle! They tell me that meams he is the fastest boy in the state in his age group. He only had one swimmer that didn't finish in the top 8 in at least one of their races. My Daddy is AWESOME!!

Once he got home we had a good time just hanging out without any real plans.

Sunday I didn't feel very well and had a fever so I just wanted to snuggle with Mommy.

Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night I talk Mommy into letting me sleep with her in the spare bedroom so we don't wake up Daddy. It would be silly for all of us to be awake.

Tuesday I got to spend almost the whole day with Daddy. Mommy was finally able to go get her hair done and then she went scrapbooking from 7pm-midnight. Here is one of the pages she got done. She really likes her new digital scrapbooking software.

On St. Patty's Day we went on an adventure. We went to Chipotle for lunch. The weather was beautiful. Then we drove to a town about 30 minutes away that has some really old houses with big front porches. Mommy said they remind her of Nana's. We also had to stop and look at the area pool, but it was having some work done to it so we weren't able to see it.

Mommy & Daddy have been working a lot with me on holding my head up. I'm a little behind in that area and am going to see a doctor about it in a few weeks. I'm working really hard at it so I can amaze the doctor with my progress. Check it out - I'm doing pretty good, huh?

That's all for now. We are heading to Florida tomorrow so I'm sure Mommy will take lots of pictures for me to post on here.

Cereal and the Zoo

Saturday we decided to give cereal another try...much better this time. She did okay on Saturday and did really well on Sunday.

Yesterday was gorgeous here. I decided it was time to make a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo. A friend of mine has a season pass so I called her and we loaded up the 3 kids and 2 strollers and took advantage of the great weather. I got us a season pass as well, so we will have many trips to the zoo this spring and summer (as long as it isn't 105 degrees). I know she probably doesn't really understand the zoo, but I like to think that she is just taking it all in and I know she enjoys being outside. Plus Central Market is a fun place to have lunch afterwards and it is right by the zoo!

Busy Little Girl

Sorry it has been so long. It seems like the days just get away from me. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately.

This was after we took a trip to the park with the Hubbard boys. This is Daddy's favorite picture of his little girl.

Zander Hubbard, Kennedy and Lucas Hubbard. The boys stayed with us one Saturday morning when Shelly and Chris has volleyball and golf stuff. We had a good time. The boys really love Kennedy!

We were able to take a trip to Wisconsin at the end of February. We had a lot of fun. I was able to see some college friends that I haven't seen in a long time. It was a short visit, but well worth it. Hopefully we will be able to get together this summer.

I'm not sure who loves each other more...Kennedy or Makayla.

While we were in Wisconsin everyone (except Chance and Danny) took a trip to Aaron and Renee's. It was fun having everyone together. It doesn't seem to happen too much anymore other than Christmas time. Aaron and Renee have a hotel by them that has a waterpark. Jessica, the kids and I stayed Sunday night so we all went to the waterpark on Sunday before Mom, Dad and Steven had to go back. Kennedy didn't seem to mind the water at all. Not a surprise considering that she loves her baths and that her Daddy is a swim coach :)

Swimming takes a lot of energy. She was crashed in the stroller while the other kids played.

Such a big bed for a little girl. Kennedy's 1st night in a hotel.

It was warm enough one day while we were there to go for a walk. Of course, this is a relative term so we had to bundle up. Must have been cozy in there :)

Kennedy got a new toy today. She is still not overacheiving in the head control/neck strength department so I ordered a Tummy Time mat that a friend of mine also has. She said her son loves it, so I decided to order it. The middle piece she is on spins. She can turn herself around on it with her hands and feet and she has to hold her head up. She really seems to like it. Yeh!!!

That is all for now. Time for a bottle and bed...cross your fingers she sleeps til morning. For some reason she thinks she needs to see what 2 or 3 in the morning looks like lately. Yikes!!

Congratulations, Daddy!!!

Mommy and I went to Daddy's Regional Swim Meet last night. His kids swam really well (or at least that is what Mommy and Daddy tell me). I was such a good girl that someone even told Mommy that I was...and I quote..."an exceptional baby".

Daddy will have 4 girls and 1 boy at the State Swim Meet in Austin in two weeks! Isn't that awesome? They will be competing in 2 relays and 3 individual events.

That reminds me...while Daddy is in Austin with his athletes, Mommy and I will be in Wisconsin visiting Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the family. I can't wait to see my cousins again! They aren't going to believe how big I have gotten and how much I am talking now (not to mention the vocabulary and typing skills I needed to post this message). Mommy thinks she is so funny sometimes :)

That is all for now...Just wanted to brag on my Daddy a little. Oh, and I almost forgot that a couple weeks ago he was voted District Coach of the Year! I have the coolest Daddy ever!!

Kennedy's Snow Day

It has been snowing here since about 3am Thursday morning. Now, when I say snowing I mean "really snowing" and not a "Texas snowing." When people say it's going to snow down here it usually means a few flakes here and there and maybe a few blades of grass hang onto a few of the flakes. That is not what happened today. We probably have about 8 inches on our patio furniture and it is still snowing. It has been around 32 degrees all day and the weatherman said that if it was a few degrees colder we would definitely have more than a foot of snow, but it was melting some so it wasn't accumulating like it could have. Needless to say I had to bundle Kennedy up so she could experience the weather and I could take some pictures (I even learned how to use the timer feature). I put her bouncey seat under the covered part of the patio while I built a snowman in our backyard. As you can see in the pictures she wasn't very happy about sitting on our swing or making a snow angel. She did okay when I sat her by the snowman, but my camera battery was going dead so I only got one picture of her by it.

If you click on the picture it will open it and make it larger so you can see the smaller pictures on here.

Had to share another one

I had to share the one I made for Danny to put on his desktop computer at work. This digital stuff is too much fun!

My First "Project"

I got my new digital scrapbooking software in the mail today. I couldn't wait to get it installed and play with it. Here is my first project!! This will be February 3 (hence the 3 in the corner) in my daily picture scrapbook I'll be making.
